WordPress blog = WordCamp:Las Vegas
If you’re blogging on a word press platform (or just need a reason to skip town), then WordCamp: Las Vegas is the place to be. I stumbled across it this morning and was instantly intrigued by its offerings.
It’s an easy, two day event on January 10-11, 2009 at the Palace Station hotel in NV. There are several speakers confirmed, including:
- Matt Mullenweg
- Joseph Scott
- Aaron Hockley
- Lorelle VanFossen
- Jim Kukral
- Geoff Kleinman
- Liz Strauss
Admittedly, I don’t know most of the speakers, but I was absolutely thrilled when I recognized Liz Strauss’s name – I just happen to follow her on Twitter.
WordCamp:Las Vegas has a website set up with up-to-date information, as well as a blog. Want to know the best reason you should attend? It’s because the registration fee is $20.99! They’re also offering a room discount, if you reserve your Palace Station hotel room before December 14.
If you’ve been to one of the many WordCamps in the past … let me know. I’m curious what it’s all about (but more importantly, what I should wear
)
See you there

Calie, Thanks for the nice write up! I say dress comfortably. It’s gonna be 2 full days of learning and networking!
I strongly suggest you check out the websites for some of the other speakers. There are some very smart people with a lot of info to share.
See you in January!
