7 Things About Me

My friend Justin McHood tagged me with a challenge to list 7 things about me that had nothing to do with real estate.  I’ve thought about what to write and have actually come up with nothing… so, I’ve decided to just copy my friend, Dean Ouelette’s post instead… no, I’m just kidding (well, at least I am now). So,  here are my 7:

Starbucks is my favorite place – but I still hate coffee.

I’m an avid iced-tea fan (unless it’s flavored, black is preferred). I even looked into owning a tea shoppe here in Chandler.  The reason I didn’t open one?  The name I chose, was already taken.

I love paper!

While I’m not a scrapbooking type of gal, I love stores that sell paper, paper and more paper! From Crane to lined, I appreciate the convenience and the opportunity to express myself.  Also, in case you’re wondering, for my birthday – there’s nothing that makes me happier than a Starbucks card and paper :)

I love my Deacon!

… and I’m not referring to our church elders.  While they are nice people, “my” Deacon is a boxer.  Yesterday was his 3rd birthday and this dog has truly established himself as the keeper-of-the-key to my heart.  Deaf since birth, this dog is just beyond awesome, totally strange and my absolute buddy!

He ran away …

Last February, Deacon got out of our side gate.  It was an excruciating day for our household and then we got a miracle.  Right there, posted in our front yard, was a found dog sign!  The person who found Deacon (who, btw, was already a boxer owning proud Mama herself),  saw him running across the street, pulled over and simply opened her car door.  Being the car loving, friendly dog that he is —yes, he just jumped right in…and broke her rear view mirror.  Want a great visual? Picture a 60lb boxer in a convertible BMW in the wee hours of the morning!  Anyways, she got to spend the night with him, but we got him back.

My closet is color coordinated..

It absolutely drives me crazy to have a disorganized closet.  Our clothes are organized by season, type, length, color and so are the hangers.  It’s enough to drive a “normal” person nuts, but it was a lot harder to get it all organized the very first time than it is to maintain… trust me.

In the bottom of my closet is…

an autographed Nolan Ryan picture, which sits right next to an autographed Mickey Mantle and some other baseball players who I can’t remember.  My husband (who is an *awesome guy) wholeheartedly agreed to middle naming our son after the GREAT Nolan Ryan … enough said.

The only Suns game I’ve ever been to

Was when Shaq broke the backboard … twice during the game (I think this is what happened, but honestly can’t guarantee it).  It was about 14 years ago and definitely before becoming a Phoenix Suns himself.  The same day, we also attended a Phoenix RoadRunners game.  It was a great day!

So, there! Now you know 7 things about me that are not real estate related and since it’s only 4am, I’ll throw in one more for good measure…

I was a very good, very hardworking  student and cried hysterically when I got my first “B” … Don’t laugh – it was a traumatic experience for me. To this day, I still hate math!

Justin said I’m supposed to post the rules, so here they are:

  1. Link your original tagger(s) and list these rules in your post.
  2. Share seven facts about yourself in the post.
  3. Tag seven people at the end of your post by leaving their names and the links to their blogs.
  4. Let them know they’ve been tagged.

And I just can’t wait for these 7 individuals to tell all about themselves. So now it is my turn to share and tag 7 others.

  1. Dru Bloomfield
  2. D.Patrick Lewis
  3. Chris Griffith
  4. Mike Jones
  5. Steve Mattison
  6. Kelly Koehler
  7. Jason Crouch
